I received a call from the Expedited Review Unit at Kaiser today. I was informed by this department that they had received my appeal and would be actively working on it over the next two days. I asked if I could give any information to the person or team in charge of deciding my case and was at that point told that I have until noon Satruday the 4th of January to turn in anything that I want to have them use in consideration for my case. The documents have to be faxed only, but noon.
I have been researching Endometriosis for quite some time now, but the information that I had been gathering was still in quite a disarray. I immediately began writing and over the hours of this afternoon and evening have put together two letters totaling 15 pages. I also have dozens of pages of supporting documents including a letter from Dr. Cook, which is the Doctor I am seeking surgery with. Also included are emails between my Kaiser Gyn and myself that support some of the things that have been offered to me as treatment.
I would really appreciate prayer over the next few days especially.
No matter what the decision is, I am confident in God's power over my life and I know whatever will happen will not be a surprise to God. God has a plan for me and my family. One of my prayers throughout all of this is that I will really be able to experience the richness of God and share that with others as I go.
